    Pat Asked

Will be In Disney World August 25 thru August 30 - what kind of temperatures can we expect.

Hi, Pat!  I can describe the weather in Walt Disney World in August by stamping a big old capital letter H right on the whole month.  You will be coming at the peak of the summer weather in Orlando, and you can expect your days to be Hazy, Hot, and Humid.  Temperatures can soar into the 90s, with very high humidity.  Night time temperatures may only dip down into the upper 70s, and it is definitely not sleeping with the windows open weather.

You may experience afternoon thunder showers on just about every day of your trip.  The showers are usually quick moving and brief, so they don't do too much to disrupt your day.  In some cases, you may go into an attraction in the sunshine, come out in the sunshine, but find out there's been a bit of a downpour while you were enjoying your ride.

I always recommend hitting the parks early in August, so if you try to be there are rope drop, you can get a lot done in the morning, then plan to take a break for a swim or to sit down for a nice air conditioned lunch.  Drink plenty of water, and wear a hat and sunscreen as well.

I have to say, that late August time frame was always a great time for my family to go.  The lines tend to be shorter, and it's a little easier to get dining reservations.  It's hot, but you won't be standing in lines as long as you might in July.

    Have a great time!
