    Jasmine from AL Asked

Hello Disney Moms, I want to see the Wishes fireworks at the Polynesian Village Resorts beach, but I was wondering if you need to stay at the Polynesian to have access to the beach or is it possible to visit the beach without staying there.

    Hey, Jasmine!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You do not need to be a Guest of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to enjoy the Wishes nighttime spectacular from the beach. If you want to enjoy the fireworks on the beach you may not be able to hear the musical accompaniment. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is under renovation and some perks of the beach are being tweaked. While we were there I could hear the music faintly out of the speakers near the fire pit and loudly by the speakers just outside the pool area nearest the dock. You could always google and sync up the music from the show on your smartphone which is what some Guests behind us did and it was perfect.

Disney Dad Tip: I counted 30 lounge chairs and 3 swings on the beach near the water taxi launch to the Magic Kingdom Park and Resorts. This is a perfect area to watch Magic Kingdom Park fireworks. The view closer to and behind the bungalows is partially blocked by trees and the bungalows. The lounge chairs and swings are first come-first served and are not monitored by Cast Members. You may bring a beach towel because there is plenty of room on the sand. So kick those sandals off and sink your toes into the beach and say, aaaaagh. Please know the number of chairs may vary so the sooner you can arrive the better. I would arrive 60 minutes before the fireworks to ensure a great spot.

Mahalo Jasmine and enjoy making many Magical Memories!
