Parade at Magic Kingdom

Going to disney the week of thanksgiving this year, is there a thanksgiving day parade in magic kingdom?

    Hi Sarah!

Thanksgiving week is a great week for a Walt Disney World vacation. You can enjoy the end of fall and at the same time you will see the Christmas holiday season envelop the entire property. Christmas actually begins mid November with the special event party in the Magic Kingdom but the resorts and other parks really take on the spirit that week.

The Magic Kingdom theme park will have a parade on Thanksgiving day but it is their normal parade that can be seen each day. My family had the incredible experience of being selected as Grand Marshals several years ago for this day and we donned our turkey hats and rode down the park's parade route. But that was the only holiday specific portion of the parade.

Most of the Disney restaurants will also offer a Thanksgiving type menu that day. Buffets will serve the traditional turkey and sides while other locations will add that option to their menu. Disney understands that many families wish to have their turkey and will do everything possible all guests are satisfied.

Happy Thanksgiving! My own family once again has chosen to come that week for their Disney vacation.
