If my Disney Visa card is attached to my magic band, can I still the the percentage off while shopping out and about at wdw? I just didn’t know if I needed to take my card with me into the parks.

    Hi Kristin!

Two of my favorite things are shopping and vacationing at the Walt Disney World Resort, so combining those two activities makes them both more magical!

We also have a Disney Visa Card, and we always use that card for our Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stays and for charges on our MagicBands so that we can earn those Disney Rewards Dollars to use on our next trip!  Unfortunately, to be able to take advantage of the discount, you will need to use the physical card at the time of payment, rather than charging the purchase to your MagicBand.

Since the merchandise discount only applies to purchases of $50 or more at select locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, what we usually end up doing is if our purchase total is under $50, we just use our MagicBand, and if it is over that amount, we use the card to take advantage of the discount!

Also, we always make sure to bring our card with us to the parks so that we can take advantage of the Disney Visa Cardmember Star Wars Character Experience at Disney's Hollywood Studios and the Disney Visa Cardmember Character Experience at Epcot!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
