    Does Disney typically do any special character dining or dining experiences that use the dining plan on new years eve? I am attempting to plan ahead but can't find any information (I know I am way ahead of the 180 day reservation window).

    Lisa,

    Most of what you will find on New Year's Eve at restaurants is the traditional entertainment that they would have throughout the rest of the year. So if Mickey and Friends are typically at a restaurant, that is what you will get. Same goes for the Princesses.

    There are a few restaurants that lay on pre-set menus. And a few do throw in some extra entertainment. The only that come to mind are;

    • Narcoossee's (Grand Floridian) has had a DJ and kid craft entertainment
    • There was a mariachi band last year in La Hacienda (Epcot, Mexico Pavilion)
    • Most Downtown Disney restaurants have some kind of extra celebration, usually amounting to a DJ or some other live musical entertainment.
    I hope that this helps? Write me back if you have any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
