Hello! I've been to Disney twice but this is my first time doing the planning. When does Disney require you to decide which park you will visit each day of your trip? We will not be participating in the Park Hoper option. Thanks!

Hi, Alexandria! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations on being the lucky one to plan all the magical details for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort Vacation! For me, planning is part of the fun of a Disney vacation. Getting to dream up all the wonderful park days, scheduling FastPass+ for my favorite rides, sprinkling in some delicious dining reservations… the adventure began when I started to plan!

There is no time frame for you to decide which park you want to visit on a specific day. Maybe you wake up one morning feeling like taking a hand glider trip around the world. Then head over to Epcot where Soarin' will allow you to do just that! Here’s the catch, by deciding on a park close to your arrival date, grabbing FastPass+ reservation for a popular attraction will be more challenging. My suggestion would be to go ahead and pencil in tentative schedule. Get some FastPass+, maybe some Advanced Dining reservations, and look into the world-class entertainment offerings at each park. With My Disney Experience, you can make all these plans and easily change them as you go!

If you haven’t done so yet, create an account at My Disney Experience and be sure to download the app into your smart device. This app will be your “key to the kingdom”. With interactive maps, current wait times, character meet-and-greet locations and so much more, it’s a must have for any Disney planner!

Have fun planning and dreaming up your magical vacation! And don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any more questions!
