I have never been to Disney before and this summer my husband and I will be taking our nine month old. What is some good advice/tips for visiting the park with a infant? Especially with strollers/nursing/changing/bringing breastmilk

    Hi, Rebecca!

Many of us on the Moms Panel have been to Walt Disney World with infants, so you came to the right place for advice!  Let me start with the parks.  Each park has an amazing Baby Care Center.  Each Baby Care Center has a kitchen (perfect to rinse bottles or clean any pacifiers), a super clean changing area, and rocking chairs perfect for nursing your darling baby.  The centers even have items for sale if you need baby food, diapers, or other baby needs.

Plan to bring your stroller from home with a sunshade, as that Florida sun is hot in the summer. For each day in the parks, pack a tote bag with all your baby needs, wipes, extra change of clothes, and even a small soft-sided cooler if you want to keep anything chilled.

Pack and Plays are available free of charge when staying at a Disney Resort. I always brought a favorite blanket or stuffed toy so there was some familiar items for my little ones. Speaking of sleep, it is super important to stick to those naps and bedtime routines. Your days may be short in the parks, but it is so worth it to see your little baby sound asleep and getting his/her much needed rest.

When my kids were around 8 or 9 months, they liked traveling in the backpack carriers.  They got a great view of the surroundings and it was a nice break to get out of the stroller.  If you do not have one, see if you can borrow one from a friend as we really found these to be great for our babies.

Try to hit the parks early in the day before the heat sets in, take lots of breaks, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!  This is such a magical time with your baby.  Wishing you a wonderful vacation as you make your own magical memories with your family.
