We're going to Disney in 2014 with our son who will be 2 1/2. I'm shocked that we can't get him a Disney Dining Plan! It says that he can share off our plate, but do people actually do this? Or should we plan to buy him all his meals throughout the trip?

    Hi Lauryn!

Thanks for coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  The first time I brought my daughter to Walt Disney World I was a little nervous that she would not be included in the Disney Dining Plan, but after our first few meals, my fears were put to rest.  The portion sizes are quite generous and I did not have any trouble sharing my meals.  On occasion, when I wanted to try an entrée that I knew my daughter wouldn't enjoy, I simply ordered something for her off of the kid's menu, and paid for her meal.  The kid's meals are reasonably priced, and that way we were both happy!  I would also recommend to book Advanced Dining Reservations at buffet or family style dining locations.  This way your son can have his own plate and it will be included!

When dining at Quick-Service locations, I would typically order a meal that I knew we would both be happy with and then use a snack entitlement for some fruit to make a balanced meal for both of us.

In the end, I would plan to purchase a few meals for your son, but I'm sure you will find that with the Disney Dining Plan, there is definitely enough food for the two of you!

I hope you have a magical time on your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Lauryn.  Please let me know if you think of any other questions.  I would be happy to help!
