Can Disney Rewards Dollars be used to "pay down" balances at my hotel before my cc is charged (like with Disney Gift Cards) or should I just carry my Rewards card to the parks w/me for purchase rather than using my Magic Band?

Hi Traci! I’m so happy to see that you’re back with another question for us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

My family loves to reap the benefits of using the Disney Chase Visa and it’s no surprise to me that you’re wanting to do the same!

You can absolutely use your Disney Rewards Dollars to pay down your Disney Resort hotel room balance. Did you know that you can also leave a credit on your Disney Resort hotel room account, using your reward dollars and Disney Gift Cards?

I’ve done this many times because my husband really likes the convenience of using his MagicBand to make charges. That way he gets to tap away, and I have already left some money on our account to cover those charges. (For the most part, at least.)

The best way to make this happen is just a phone call away. By calling (407) 939-5277, you can speak to a Resort Reservation Specialist who will be happy to use those reward funds toward your account balance. There’s no need to carry your card around.

With all the excitement at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this summer with the opening of Toy Story Land, don’t forget to take advantage of your cardmember perk! The Force is strong at the Disney® Visa® Cardmember Star Wars™ Character Experience. Just show the Cast Member your Disney Visa Card as you make your way inside.

Traci, I hope you and your family have an Incredible Summer visit at the Walt Disney World Resort. Should you have any more questions before your magical stay, you know where to find us!
