Hi Cheryl,
You've taken the important first step for planning your Walt Disney World vacation -- your resort reservation! Now that you have that secured, be sure it is linked to your
My Disney Experience account. You can do that in the My Reservations & Tickets section. There, you'll see a button to "Link Resort Reservations.
Once your reservation is linked, you can go to the
Magic Bands and Cards section to customize your MagicBands.
Now, what other plans do you want to make? Because your trip is less than 180 days away, you can begin booking your
advance dining reservations. If character meals or signature dining are important to you, I suggest you make those reservations as soon as possible. My family likes to make one reservation per day so that we know we have one nice, leisurely meal scheduled.
You can begin making
FastPass+ choices 60 days in advance of your arrival. That gives you and your family time to think about your ride and attraction priorities and come up with a tentative itinerary.
I like to have a general plan, but allow some flexibility and down time, just in case an unexpected opportunity for fun comes up. Sometimes, the moments you haven't planned or even thought of are the most memorable.
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cheryl. Please let us know if you have other questions or want our recommendations on dining, attractions or any other experience at Walt Disney World. We're always here to help.
Enjoy,
Wilma
