Is Disney Quest good for 5 year old children? I have 2 sons (11 & 9) who I know would love it, but not sure if I should bring my 5 year old daughter. Will there be stuff for her to do as well, or should this be a boys day out with my husband? Thanks

    Hi Deirdre,

The answer to this really depends on your daughter and her personality. There are several activities that your daughter would be able to participate in if she were interested. These include the Animation Academy (a class where she could learn to draw a Disney character), Living Easels (create your own masterpiece), classic arcade games, and more. There is even a special kids' area specially designed for children ages two to seven years old.

I can tell you that I brought my three daughters to DisneyQuest when my twins were about five years old. They were overwhelmed by the noise, lights, and older children. We only stayed about half an hour due to extreme sensory overload.

The next time we returned to DisneyQuest was in December of 2010, when the girls were ten. We had a completely different experience then. The girls LOVED it. We spent more than four hours there on two different days. I had to drag them away.

Perhaps since your daughter has older brothers she is more accustomed to older children and video games than my girls were at age five.

If you wanted to have some special mommy/daughter time, Downtown Disney is certainly a great place to do that. There are wonderful shops and restaurants to explore. There is even a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where your little girl could be turned into a princess. Or, there is a huge movie theater steps away from DisneyQuest where you could take in a film while the boys play games.

Good luck with your decision. Please let me know if you need more information.
