Hi! We are Disney pros, but it's our first time visiting with our 1 year old! What are some good things to bring in to keep him comfy and happy?

    Hi, Courtney!

Let me be the first to welcome your little Mouseketeer to Walt Disney World! Make sure to remember this special visit with plenty of pictures.

A successful visit with a baby starts with having a stroller. You are welcome to bring your own or rentals are available at the front of each theme park. Also have a tote bag with all the baby necessities: diapers, wipes, change of clothes, bottles, snacks, or anything your little guy might need. Each park has a handy Baby Care Center for changing and feeding.

Keep on your son's schedule. This means feedings on time, afternoon naps, and to bed at normal times. I know it is hard to leave all the magic when the night feels young, but a good night's sleep is important after all the stimulation he will get. I promise, they grow up in the blink of any eye and in a few years you will be struggling to keep up with teenagers!

Be ready for things your son will love and NOT love! My daughter at age 1 got a kick out of stepping on and off the curbs on Main Street USA. She also loved the Castle stage show (currently Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire). When one show would end, she would make us wait around for the next show! On the flip side, she had no interest in the characters. Her fist picture with Mickey Mouse is of her crying. No worries, just a few years later she was happy to say "cheese" with her favorite Mouse!  My son was obsessed with holding park maps. The cheapest Disney souvenir yet his favorite. You never know what your little one will enjoy!

If staying at a Disney Resort hotel, pack and plays are provided free of charge. Set this up as soon as you arrive so it is ready to go when you get back to your room for naps.

In no time at all, your son will be a Disney expert just like his mom and dad! Enjoy!
