Hi! Will be at Disney 11/22-12/6/08. Parents, grandma & 3yr old boy. Staying at Wildernesslodge Villa. Best Character dining for boy? Have to plan for 12 days. What are the do not miss things/events for 3 yr olds? THANK YOU! Love this site!

You’ll be there during a wonderful time of year although expect crowds during Thanksgiving week, especially from Wednesday to Saturday. The following week should be delightful.

    For character dining:

The Tusker House for Donald's Safari breakfast offers a beautifully-themed restaurant. Characters are usually Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey. Kids join them in a musical “parade” around the restaurant. Dining here would be very convenient for an Animal Kingdom touring day.

Chef Mickey’s is one of our favorite restaurants. Kids and adults love waving their napkins and singing “Celebrate with Mickey Mouse”. The monorail running through the resort is very exciting for young boys.

The Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh is lots of fun and great for young kids. The Hundred Acre Wood friends with have a “parade” around the restaurant while kids happily march behind them. This is a cheerful restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Do not miss:
Riding on Dumbo, Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh in Fantasyland
Touring Mickey’s House in Toontown and meeting Mickey
Riding Walt’s train around the park
Taking the raft to Pirate’s Lair, Tom Sawyer’s Island and letting your son run off steam
Having a Mickey Ears ice cream while watching one of the parades
Watching Wishes fireworks (if scared by noises watch from the Polynesian beach)
Seeing the Playhouse Disney show, then letting them your little guy run around the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground at Hollywood Studios.
Going on Safari at the Animal Kingdom and then digging up dinosaur bones in Dinoland
Asking to ride in the front of the monorail

Most importantly, a nap or rest in the afternoon!
