Hello Disney Moms panel, We are planning our trip for 2012. Do you think May or Oct/Nov would be better for good weather & smaller crowds? We are pretty flexible and your advice would be appreciated! Thanks you,

Honestly, Nancy, both time frames you mention would be pleasant times to visit Walt Disney World.  Historically, both periods have similar crowd levels (assuming you avoid holidays and the first full week of November).  You can also count on warm days and cool nights during either period.  Your chances of missing rain are slightly better in November than in the other two months.

Perhaps deciding around special events will sway you one way or the other.  May offers the whimsical and fun International Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot.  October boasts Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the International Food and Wine Festival.  The food and wine fest actually overlaps into November.  Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party also takes place in November. If any of these spark your interest then I'd let that be the deciding factor!
