Do the Disney Orlando resorts offer transportation to the cruise port if your going on a Disney cruise? Or does the cruise line offer pick up at any of the Disney resorts?

    Welcome back, Anamaria!

Yes! Yes! Yes! If you set sail out of Port Canaveral, Disney can take care of all of the details, allowing you to spend a day or two prior to your cruise at one of the magical Walt Disney World Resorts, and then take the optional Ground Transfers from your resort to the cruise port. It is the way to go for sure! My family and I always take advantage of staying at one of our favorite Disney resorts before we set sail. It really extends the magic!

Call the agents at Disney Cruise Line to book a resort stay and ground transfers. They're happy to add those to your cruise reservation. There is an additional cost for the cruise transfers to and from the port of $35 per person each way, but I promise it's the best way to transition from land to sea and back again! When you then fly into Orlando, you'll take the complimentary Disney's Magical Express transfer from the airport to the resort. The night before you set sail, you'll get a notice in your resort room letting you know the exact pick up time for your transportation to the port for the next morning. It'll be somewhere between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. They'll also pick up your checked luggage right from your resort room (you don't even have to be in there!) at 8:00 a.m. and send it right to the ship for you!

My family and I then keep day bags with us to continue exploring the resort and enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we head off to the port. The kids love the cruise transfers because they get to watch classic Disney cartoons on the onboard screens, making the hour-long ride just fly by!

We'd love to help as you continue to count down the days to your sailing, so please stop back again, Anamaria!
