We have only been to Disney once before and never made it to Downtown Disney. What is it all about? Are there things there that are "must sees" in Downtown Disney? Our kids are 6 years old. Thanks!

    Hi Shawna!

Downtown Disney is where you can find Cirque du Soleil, Disney Quest, and Characters In Fight, but it is also great to go if you want to spend some time shopping or dining. There are many places to shop, my favorites are the huge World of Disney shop, Tren-D, and Once Upon a Toy which is a toy store that is fun for both the kids and adults in my family. You also have some great photo ops throughout Downtown Disney, and at times there is live entertainment. My kids favorite place of all there is the Lego Imagination Center, because it has so many Lego toys, hands on play areas, and a playground where they can burn some energy! As for dining, there are so many options for that, too! I think it's great to visit Downtown Disney on a Day when you won't be at the parks or won't be spending a whole day there. We usually visit mid-vacation as a way to slow things down, or at the end of our trip to find just the right gifts to bring back home, or even to find things for our home! I hope your family visits and has as much fun as ours does!
