Does Disney offer any sort of homeschool lesson plans for a trip to Disney.I am looking for things to plan before the trip as well as during the actual visits to the park. I know they have the YES programs, but I heard there used to be a lesson plan

    Hi Jeanne,

EPCOT used to have a teacher resource center, and this may be what you have heard about.  Although I am unaware of any official teaching materials that Disney provides specifically for use in the parks, Walt Disney World is a place full of discovery and lends itself to teaching moments.  Some resources I have found that may help in planning a fun, educational experience for your children are:

    • vacationeducationbooks.net - you can purchase books filled with lesson plans and activities for both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.  An Animal Kingdom book should be coming out this year.
    • a2zhomeschool.com/homeschoolmouse/ - this is a blog from a homeschooling mom in Florida who takes her children on fieldtrips to Walt Disney World.  There are some great ideas at this site.
Hope this helps.  Have a magical time playing and learning at Walt Disney World.
