Hi Maria,
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great budgeting question! I love bargain shopping and with an immediate family of seven, I'm always looking to save some money.
While Disney does not price match on tickets, the great thing about buying them directly from Disney is that you're guaranteeing that you have theme park tickets that will actually allow you entrance into magical theme parks! I'd hate for you to travel all the way to Florida to find out that some supposedly great deal was too good to be true, and your tickets aren't valid for admission.
If you're looking for some reliable discounts, I'd definitely encourage you to keep your eyes on the "
Special Offers, Deals, and Discounts" page on Disney's website. Also, you may currently save $20 per ticket off the cost at the gate when you purchase a 3-day or longer ticket ahead of time
online. The additional benefit to purchasing your ticket ahead of time is that when you
link it to your My Disney Experience account, you'll be able to make three
FastPass+ selections per day 60 days in advance if you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel and 30 days beforehand if you're staying elsewhere. That will save you lots of time waiting in lines!
One other money-saving tip: Did you know that you may bring your own food and drinks into the theme parks? There are a few
restrictions, but that can also help you save some money!
Please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip, Maria, and have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
