We will be in Disney in October 2011 for my son's birthday. Does anyone have any ideas how to celebrate a 5 year old's birthday??!!!

    Hi Deb!

Happy birthday to your son! The first thing I would do is make dining reservations for a character dining experience featuring his favorite characters. You can make reservations online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE. Our favorite is Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Then you can call the "cake hotline" at to order a custom cake to be delivered at your table during your character dining experience.

If you're staying at a WDW Resort hotel, you might want to give the Dream Makers at the Disney Florist a call. They have fabulous in-room celebration options that would be an awesome surprise for your birthday boy.

Finally, if he likes pirates, then a pirate transformation at The Pirates League would also be a great way to celebrate.

    Have a magical birthday celebration!
