    Vickie Asked

We will be at Disney November 30 thru December 8. It seems as if the Christmas parade will be filmed while we are there and I was wondering if we should plan to attend the filming. Also when will they release the artists that will be performing?

Hi, Vickie!  The parade taping can go on several days, and in my experience, some of it can be quite tedious waiting.  The Magic Kingdom - at least from the entrance to the castle foreground - can be almost impassable.  On the plus side, the rest of the Magic Kingdom might be a little bit easier to negotiate, but you can expect larger crowds on taping days.

Whether or not you choose to attend the taping is entirely a family decision you'll have to make.  It can take a chunk out of your vacation time.  As you might imagine, this is being taped for television, and there's a lot of starting and stopping.  It doesn't run as smoothly in real life as it does on TV!

They don't usually announce much in advance who the performers will be.  Look for that information pretty close to parade time - maybe a couple of weeks in advance.

Have a wonderful time on your upcoming vacation!
