We are in Disney from Nov 8- Nov 15th- do you know when the Giant Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian will be complete? AND, are you able to see the work in progress if it is not finished? Thanks- I love the panel!

Hi Amy! The life-size Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian is a must-see during the holidays at Disney World, and I'm happy to tell you that it should be installed during your trip! The 16-foot-high Gingerbread House is supposed to begin taking shape in the lobby of the Grand Floridian around November 10 and is scheduled to open for business selling freshly-baked items and candies on November 15. In years past, guests have been able to watch the construction of the house, so I would expect that you could watch the progress of the house during your November trip. Did you know the chefs spend 400 hours baking the gingerbread for the house and 160 hours decorating it?!

Hope you have a magical visit! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions. We're happy to help!
