We are going to Disney 6/13 through 6/17 and noticed that it is supposed to storm everyday we are there! We have a 14 yr old and a 18 month old. Will there be rides that we can still go on if it does storm? Are there other things to do?

    Hi Wendy,

You must be so excited for your upcoming trip!  It will be here before you know it.

Many of the attractions at Walt Disney World are indoors, so it is possible to have a great day in the parks even when it is raining.  I would say Epcot and Magic Kingdom would be your best bet for stormy days, although the animals at Animal Kingdom really like the rain, so if you don't mind getting wet, then you may be able to see a lot if you go on a rainy day - as long as lightning isn't in the area.

Be sure to bring rain ponchos for everyone in your family.  If you forget, they are available for purchase in the parks and resorts.  You'll also want some type of covering for your stroller.  Oh, and you'll probably want to wear some sort of flip flop or Croc-type sandal in the parks, rather than sneakers - nothing is worse than walking around in soggy socks and shoes for the entire day.

If there is a really stormy, miserable day - you may want to consider Disney Quest.  It's a 5 story indoor-amusement park/video arcade.  There is a charge to get in, but it's included if you have the water park fun & more option with your tickets.  It's definitely more suited to your older child, and strollers are not allowed inside the building, but my children did enjoy it on our last trip.

Forecasts change frequently, so keep checking those reports.  Hopefully, you'll see nothing but clear skies during your stay.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
