Disney meal servings are very generous! Is it okay for two adults to order one large meal and share?

    Hi Barbara,

My husband and I frequently share an appetizer and an entree when we dine at Walt Disney World. Not only is it more economical, it provides just the right amount of food. We've never had an issue with sharing that I can recall. In fact, the wait staff at Disney restaurants often go above and beyond to make sharing easy.

I was with a group of friends at Yachtsman Steakhouse recently and a few people wanted to split meals because the steaks are large. The server was so gracious to divide the steaks and sides onto separate plates before serving and to split the tab as well. I also shared an appetizer of hush puppies and a single fried chicken dinner with a friend at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' a few weeks ago and it was the perfect perfect portion for each of us.

The only time I can think of where sharing isn't allowed is at the all-you-care-to-eat dining experiences, which is understandable.

We also dine frequently in the lounges at the Walt Disney World resorts. Many of them have small plates menus that are just the right size. Among our favorites are the Crew's Cup at the Yacht Club resort, the Territory Lounge at Wilderness Lodge and Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom. We also enjoy the small portions at Spice Road Table and Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar.

Thanks for your question, Barbara, and please check back if you need more dining recommendations. Enjoy!
