Going on the Disney Magic in November with 1 day in magic kingdom. Will the cruise ship have a double stroller I can reserve for the park? I really don’t want to use the hard plastic ones at the park

    Hi there, Connie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so excited to “sea” that you will be embarking on an extra-MAGICal voyage this fall with Captain Mickey!  I love that Disney Cruise Line offers an itinerary that allows Guests to visit both Castaway Cay AND Walt Disney World Resort while experiencing a Disney Cruise!  You get it ALL at once!

I totally understand needing a stroller for your day at the theme parks!  In my opinion a stroller is absolutely necessary for those long days, especially when you want to make the absolute most of your time at the theme parks!  Disney Cruise Line has strollers available on a first come, first-served basis, but they do not have double strollers, only single strollers.  If you prefer to not rent one of the double strollers at the theme parks, my recommendation would be to either bring your own double stroller with you from home OR bring two small umbrella strollers.  Umbrella strollers will easily fit under the bed in your stateroom and you may even find them helpful while onboard!  When my boys were “stroller-sized”, we always traveled with our umbrella strollers and found ourselves using them more than we thought while onboard to get from place to place!  Little legs never seem to move as fast as you want them to when you are trying to make it to a fun onboard activity, so being able to push them was always helpful!  Plus, the umbrella strollers will fit right through the stateroom doorways so if you happen to have littles that will fall asleep in a stroller (mine never did), you can easily move them right into the stateroom without waking them!

If you didn’t know, the theme park tickets that are included with your reservation include three FastPass+ selections but you DO NOT need to schedule them ahead of time!  Instead, you can just arrive at the FastPass+ entrance and swipe your Key to the World card and have access to the FastPass+ queue!  Once you’ve used your three, then you can visit one of the kiosks in the theme parks and make another selection based on availability.  I had no idea about this on the voyage we took that visited the theme parks and totally missed out on this excellent opportunity so I want to make sure Guests know this ahead of time so they don't miss out too!

As you continue planning for your adventure at sea AND on land, please come back with any questions you may have!

    Happy Sailing!
