We are going to Disney Land - does this panel address these questions? We are going for a day with our two girls 4 & 7 and our friends' son 6. Also, budget is a concern. Any suggestions?

Hi there Sofia!  I am happy to report that I am the Disneyland Mom on the panel and we also have a Disneyland Dad, Ari!  We are here to answer any questions you may have in hopes of sprinkling Pixie Dust on your upcoming vacation!

It's a good idea to visit Disneyland.com prior to your visit to familiarize yourself with height restrictions, scare warnings, and the locations of the attractions your most interested in.  THis can save you a lot of time on the day you arrive.  Also, once inside, be sure to grab a Times Guide and a Park Map.  This way, you'll easily be able to locate your favorite characters in the park and make time to see shows and parades.

Since you are only visiting of one day, you'll want to arrive early, before park opening if possible, to maximize your time.  Based upon the ages of the little ones, I recommend beginning your adventure over at Disneyland Park.  Once the park opens, head straight through Sleeping Beauty Castle into Fantasyland. This land is best suited to younger children and since none of these attractions offer FASTPASS, the lines can form rather quickly as the day progresses.  Once you've knocked out some of the classics in Fantasyland such as Dumbo, Peter Pan's Flight, and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, you should head towards New Orleans Square to sail the high seas on Pirates of the Caribbean before stepping into the Haunted Mansion...the haunts here are happy so even the littlest ones will enjoy this attraction!

Guests are permitted to carry personal-sized, soft-sided coolers into the parks, so to save money, I recommend packing waters and juice boxes along with snacks and a picnic lunch.  Also, be sure to bring along some items from home:  strollers, ponchos, sunscreen, batteries, even souvenirs.  Purchasing your souvenirs ahead of time can be a great money-saving strategy and the kids will never know the difference!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
