    Jana from TX Asked

We are going to Disney LAND for the first time (we normal are go to Disney WORLD) Where do i get information on where to get gluten free food in the park? (we are traveling with a special needs child) THANKS!!!

Greetings, Jana, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We’re so excited to hEAR you’re visiting the West Coast this time, on your upcoming vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth! I think you’re going to love the intimate feel of how close our two theme parks are to each other – just a short walk across the Esplanade!

Just as I’m sure you’ve experienced at the Walt Disney World Resort, the Disneyland Resort also does a fabulous job of being flexible when it comes to meeting the special dietary needs of Guests. You can view menus for each quick-service or table-service restaurant online, or on the Disneyland app. Some dining locations also include an allergy-friendly menu. For example, Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland breaks down the allergy-friendly menu into several categories, including Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly, Egg Allergy-Friendly, Fish/Shellfish Allergy-Friendly, Milk Allergy-Friendly, Peanut/Tree Nut Allergy-Friendly, and Soy Allergy-Friendly.

Since menu items are always subject to change, it’s best to speak with a Cast Member at each dining location in order to get the most current information. You can also ask to speak with a chef at any table-service or quick-service restaurant, to ask questions or see if any substitutions can be made. In addition, when making dining reservations, I recommend making note of your child’s gluten-free request. The online reservation system also allows you to indicate your specific food restrictions. Or, if you prefer to make a reservation over the phone, please call (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463 and be sure to indicate your daughter’s dietary requirement when booking. It’s always best to mention the dietary request again to your server upon arrival at your dining destination.

When you're ready to treat your Mouseketeer to something sweet, don't miss the IncrediCookie, sold at Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums on Pixar Pier. It's a gluten-friendly blackberry-jam filled cookie she's sure to crave!

Lastly, should you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to email the Disneyland Resort Special Diets team. They will do everything possible to take the stress off this situation, and help make everyone in your family comfortable at each meal of the day!

    Have a magical Disney day!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
