    Thelma from RI Asked

Hi. We are going to Disney in June and are daughter will be 19 months old. We are getting the dining plan but what do people do when they have a child under 3? Order food when there, do they get food for free or do we bring something? thanks, Thelma

In my experience (and the vast majority of experiences that I have read about) families have had no problem feeding their under-three children within the rules of the Dining Plan.  What are those rules for feeding someone under three?  Glad you asked...

Table service, and Counter Service: Need to share food from someone else's plate.
Buffet: Also need to share from someone else's plate, but since the buffets are "all-you-can-eat", this is very easy to do.  This is really the only place where you get "free" food for a child under three years old.
    Snacks: None provided

Most children under three do not eat much food, and since most of the portions at Disney are generous, it isn't hard to find "extra" food to share and keep the littlest one happy.  You can also always order some food off of the menus, and pay for it out-of-pocket, if absolutely necessary.

    Hope that helps!  ºoº
