Hi we will in Disney in July was wondering we have the dinning plan. My daughter is 11 years old She does not eat that much food Can she order from the kids menu or does she have to be under 9 years old to do that? thank you in advance

    Hi Doreen,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The Disney Dining Plan is such a convenient way to save on meals at the Walt Disney World Resort. We absolutely LOVE it!

You may find that ordering items from the Kids' Menus using your daughter's "adult" meal credits, is not necessarily the most optimal way to utilize her "adult" meal entitlements. It would probably be best to pay out-of-pocket for your daughter's meals, particularly if she's planning to order exclusively off the Kids' Menus. If however, you would rather go ahead and use those "adult" meal entitlements to have her order items from the Kids' Menus, you'll find that most Cast Members will likely bring out larger portions of kid friendly entrées for your daughter.

Disney Mom Tip: If your daughter orders her meals from the Kids' Menus, and you opt to pay for them with cash or credit card, you'll have a surplus of dining entitlements. I recommend using those extra "adult" meal credits to pay for dining experiences requiring the use of 2 Table-Service meal credits per guest, such as Fine/Signature Dining and Dinner Shows.

Doreen, I hope this information was helpful. If you have any other questions, please come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We'll be more than happy to answer all your questions, and hopefully, sprinkle a little pixie-dust on all your Disney vacation plans.

Wishing you a most unforgettable vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort!
