We are going to be at Disney in July and we are taking our 2 year old along. What would be the best park(s) to take her to and what would you recommend as far as activities for her? It is the first trip for all of us.

    Hello there Renee!

In my opinion, the best park to take a young child is Magic Kingdom. I would definitely make it over to Cinderella's Castle to see the shows, parades, and fireworks that Disney is so fantastic at hosting. Most of the rides at Magic Kingdom are toddler friendly so your daughter will be able to go on them without worries. As for favorite rides for a two year old, I have them listed below. I have two kids and both have been to the park at that same age so they have told me which rides they really liked. Your daughter may not like the dark rides like, Haunted Mansion or Pirates of the Caribbean but, try to get her to go on them because they are very tame and lots of fun! Other classic rides at Magic Kingdom will be perfect for her. It's a Small World, Peter Pan's Flight, Tomorrowland Speedway, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo The Flying Elephant, The Jungle Cruise, and Prince Charming's Carousel.

Rapunzel has her own meet and greet area to the right side of Cinderella's Castle. The Rapunzel experience at the Magic Kingdom offers personal interaction and involves some story time and drawing (Rapunzel's favorite pastime)! When you arrive at the Magic Kingdom in the morning check the times guide of when the first meet and greet is. When we were there in early December, the first experience started at 10am. You will want to be one of the first in line for the interactive experience because, the first 10 -20 children get a little extra time with Rapunzel and Flynn. I won't spoil the surprise but have your camera ready!

All of this information is subject to change so when you arrive at the parks, make sure to pick up a Times Guide where you will find all the character meet and greets scheduled for the day. I hope you and your family have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have more questions, we are always here to help! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel!
