We are going to Disney in January, we got a dining plan with snack, QS and sit down. All my sit downs are scheduled, but how do all of these work do you just get and entree? What is considered a snack and how do you know what you can and cannot order?

    Hi Crystal!

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question.
I'm a huge fan of the Disney Dining Plan and have used both the regular and deluxe plans many, many times myself! I'm more than happy to explain some more about it to you.

At your Table Service (sit down) meals for which you've made Advance Dining Reservations, what's included depends on the meal type you've reserved. At a single Table Service credit dining location, at which you order from a menu, you're entitled to an entree, a dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage. If the dining location is buffet style or family style service, your full meal is included as well as your non-alcoholic beverage.

At Quick Service Dining locations, during lunch or dinner service, your credit entitles you to an entree & side dish or a 'combo' as well as dessert and a soft drink or bottled water. During breakfast service, the Quick Service Meal includes a single hot or cold beverage as well as a breakfast platter or combo. Any time you are unsure, simply ask a Cast Member working at the dining location and they will be pleased to help you with your options and inclusions.

Snack Credits are generally, items under $4.00 in value and considered a 'single serving.' At Quick Service dining locations, Snack Carts and retail shops, applicable Snack Credit items will be notated by a purple and white square logo with the letters DDP inside the squares. You'll see this logo and a full description of the plan on the 2013 Disney Dining Plan brochure online. I've included a link to it for you.

I hope this information is helpful to you Crystal!
Please feel free to write me back any time if you'd like more tips about the Disney Dining Plan or your trip!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
