Hello! Will be in Disney with my infant & husband and trying to prepare. Please help clarify the Rider Switch program and the Fast Pass+. When using the Rider Switch, do my husband and I both need to sign up for the Fast Pass as well? Thank you!!

Hello Jamie!  Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

When my little boy was just a hair too short to experience Soarin' Around the World at Epcot, we were a little disappointed that we could not use our reserved FastPass+ Selections for the attraction.

Thanks to the Rider Switch Service, we were able to use both our FastPass+ Selections and Rider Switch Service so that everyone(save for my too-short son) could Soar through the Sky. When you book FastPass+ Selections, you are granted access to the FastPass+ Queue that bypasses the regular Standby Queue. If any member of your party does not meet the height requirements for the attraction, they cannot ride regardless of whether or not they have booked FastPass+ Selections.

The Rider Switch Service allows Guests to split up their party so that Guests may experience an attraction while a member of the party waits with the child. After the first party completes the ride, the Second Party may enter the ride through the FastPass+ Queue using the Rider Switch Pass. With the Rider Switch Pass, the first party enters and waits in the traditional Standby Queue, while the second party gets access to the FastPass+ Queue.

If the party has FastPass+ Selections for an attraction, there is no need to use the Rider Switch Service as Guests may split up their party on their own allowing both parties to use the FastPass+ Queue.

You do not need both. If you are interested in using Rider Switch Service, speak with a Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction.

    Enjoy the Rides!
