I will be in Disney in a few weeks with my two little girls (6&8). I am a big guy (5'10" 280 lbs) and I am worried about riding with them on big thunder mountain and splash mountain. Should I avoid them? If I have my arm around them will it be o

Hi, Michael! As a big gal, I understand your concerns completely, but with these two attractions, you don't need to miss out on the fun!  Neither one will accommodate all three of you in one seat. So, the easy solution is to put the two of them together in a seat, and you ride separate from (but adjacent to) them.  The Cast Members will keep you beside them on the same ride vehicle.  I wouldn't be as concerned about sharing a seat with one of the them on Splash Mountain as I am on Big Thunder Mountain.  On plus-size folks like me, Big Thunder Mountain's lap bar won't fit tightly on the smaller rider, and as a result, they often bounce around quite a bit. Splash Mountain has seat belts, so that isn't a problem. If you don't  think they will ride together without you in the same seat, then you may have to skip these two attractions.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
