will be going to disney in february with a 17 year old and a 19 year old' probably our last family vacation ever. any suggestions on where they might enjoy staying?

Hmmm, tough question since everyone has their own favorite resort on property for different reasons!
When my own children were that age they fell in love with the Yacht and Beach Club resorts with the Yacht taking first place over the Beach.  They enjoyed the large pool area where they felt they could get away from the crowds as well as the great "quiet" pool located in a hidden area at one end of the resort.  At night they enjoyed going into EPCOT for the entertainment and dining and they also enjoyed walking along the Boardwalk.

The best part of staying in this area is that you can actually walk to two parks, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.  It is a mile walk to the Studio entrance but it is very enjoyable and often just as fast as the boats. Downtown Disney is a short bus ride and offers another option for a place for young adults to enjoy on their own or together as a family.

All of the Disney resorts are wonderful and full of opportunities for all ages.  The down side of the Value resorts is that they often draw many of the groups that come to Disney and can be a bit noisier then other locations.
