I am going on the Disney dream Nov. 2011. When is the best ime to get a massage. i dont want to miss anything going on onboard but wondering if there is any down time that a massage would be ideal? Also is there a hotel you would reccommend nearby the ship

    Hi, Lisa!

Hands down, my favorite time to get a massage on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas is in one of the open-air cabanas on Castaway Cay, and you definitely won't miss anything happening on board!  Yet, the Senses Spa on board is a treat as well, and you can usually get a deal when you first board. I like to start my vacation off right by heading there as soon as I board and securing the earliest massage time available on Embarkation Day.

As far as a hotel recommendation, I always like to stay at Walt Disney World before a Disney cruise, but there are several hotels close to the cruise terminal at Port Canaveral which are convenient and offer cost-efficient amenities for cruise guests:

    • Radisson Resort at the Port is the closest hotel to the port (5 minutes). They offer park/cruise packages, and free shuttle service to your terminal.
    • The Inn at Cocoa Beach is a European-styled hotel with large oceanfront balconies and a free fresh-baked breakfast every morning.
    • The La Quinta Inn Oceanfront is nice yet affordable in Cocoa Beach, and it has a complimentary continental breakfast.
I hope this helps you plan. Let me know if you think of any more questions before you sail this fall. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
