Disney doesn't advertise Fairy Godmothers, instead, they refer to Kids Night Out. Do u know much about Fairy Godmothers? Are they equally qualified or is there a reason that Disney doesn't list them on their homepage? I learned about them from a panel ?

I can't speak as to why Disney doesn't endorse the Fairy Godmothers service, but I can tell you that my husband and I used them while we went for our traditional WDW date night in 2005. Because our family is on the larger side, it was more economical for us to use Fairy Godmothers than it would have been to send our then three children to one of the childcare clubs at the deluxe resorts.  The only reason we haven't used them again since is because my oldest daughter is now old enough to babysit in-room while my husband and I go out for a nice dinner.

Here's how our experience went: we contacted Fairy Godmothers well before our trip and made arrangements for a sitter to come to our hotel room at the Shades of Green.  She arrived right on time (if not a few minutes early) and was very friendly.  She seemed very at ease, even with our special needs daughter.  While we were out that night she took our children to the on-site pizza restaurant, to the arcade, and the playground.  When bedtime rolled around she got all three kiddos tucked in.

When I talked to my kids about their "night in" the next day they all reported having a fun time with the Fairy Godmother, though I would be lying if I told you they weren't slightly upset about missing out on the fun my husband and I had!  ;)

As for their qualifications, you'll have to give them a call and inquire.  My experience with the Fairy Godmothers sitting service, though, was a good one.  Hope that helps!
