Hello! We have the 2016 Disney dining plan with 1QS/1TS. When eating at quick service restaurants, if I don't care for the deserts being offered can I get a snack credit in exchange for that to use elsewhere in the parks where my plan is accepted?

    Hi Alyssa,

Your vacation is just a few weeks away. How exciting! Have you finished packing?

My family loves the Disney Dining Plan. It's the perfect balance for us. We tend to use our Snacks for breakfast, a Quick-Service meal on the go while we are having fun at the Theme Parks, and then we have a nice family meal at dinner at a Table-Service restaurant. Which is my favorite? So hard to choose one! My family's overall favorite is Teppan Edo.

Now, many times some of us may not in the mood for a dessert at lunch, and may prefer a Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bar later in the afternoon. When using a Quick-Service meal credit, you may ask to substitute the dessert or drink for something else that's available as a Snack. Note however, that this substitution must be done during the same transaction. You will not get a Snack credit to use at a later time or at another location unfortunately.

One last tip: if for some reason you were not able to get a specific dining reservation you were looking for, use the My Disney Experience mobile app to check for availability. Many Guests change or cancel their reservations a few days prior in order to avoid fees. Sending Pixie Dust your way!
