If we do the 2018 Disney Dining Plan or the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan will my 10 year old daughter be allowed to order off the kid's menus if she doesn't see anything she likes on the adult menus?

Greetings, Victoria! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We’re so happy you stopped by to bring us such a great question!

As a mom of a picky eater, I completely understand your concern! But as Timon and Pumbaa would say, Hakuna Matata; no worries! The Walt Disney World Resort is the absolute best at making accommodations for guests of all ages, especially when it comes to dining. From guests with special diets to guests with that prefer simpler meal options, Cast Members at restaurants will do their best to make sure your princess enjoys her meals during your stay!

It’s always a good idea to check with your cast member upon arrival at your restaurant of choice to give them a heads up and ask them how they can help. As far as your Dining Plan credits, because your daughter is considered an adult, she will be able to select from the kids or adult side of the menu and the credits will cover either. Consider asking your server for a larger portion of the kids meal of her choosing to get a better value of your credit. They can let you know what arrangements they are able to make at each specific location. As you plan, be sure to browse the menus ahead of time so you know what to expect before you dine and are prepared to discuss your options with your server.

I hope this information was helpful! Be sure to mark your calendar with all the important planning dates for your upcoming trip, like your 60-day mark for your FastPass+ reservations (30-days if you’re staying off-site), and 180-days in advance for all your Advanced Dining Reservations

Have a magical day and we hope to see you again real soon,
