Hello! I will be in Disney in 17 days! Staying at Contemporary, theme park view, 1st time in a deluxe, so excited! We will have lots of resort time, what are your recommendations as far as quick service eats in/around Contemporary? Thx!

Hi, Tammy! Thanks for stopping by to see us again. I can see how excited you are that your Walt Disney World vacation is only days away!

My family just got back from a fabulous stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort. We were also lucky enough to have a Theme Park view room in the Tower, and let me tell you, you're in for an amazing time! I loved waking up every morning to see the Magic Kingdom stretch out in front of me in the sunrise. At night, watching the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from your balcony is a once-in-a-lifetime treat. And I have a mom's tip for you: be sure to tune in the audio from Wishes on your room's TV to experience all the magic of this beautiful show.

Dining at the Contemporary is a treat as well. While the California Grill and Chef Mickey's are the mainstays, we really love the quick-service spot, the Contempo Cafe. We've even been known to pop over from the park to eat there. It's quick and tasty, and has some very tempting desserts in the bakery case.

Another hidden gem in the Contemporary for grabbing a bite is the Wave Lounge, right next to The Wave...of American Flavors restaurant. It's family-friendly, as we learned when we ventured in with our son. The menu is mostly appetizers, so it's a perfect light meal to share after a hectic Disney day.

You can also hop on the monorail and check out the quick-service locations at the other Deluxe Resorts. We took a trip over to Pineapple Lanai at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for a Dole Whip. Yummy!

I'm so excited for your stay at the Contemporary, Tammy! Wishing your family a magical Walt Disney World vacation.

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
