Ahoy, Jessica!
You are so smart to take advantage of having the Disney Magic so close to home when you set sail for your Bahamian adventure from New York City! There are "minnie" things to love about this particular itinerary, but having a day to enjoy the Walt Disney World Resort is pretty spectacular! My family actually experienced this cruise a few years ago, and we thoroughly enjoyed being whisked away for a day of magic in the parks!
The FastPass+ system will work a little differently for cruise Guests, so I'm glad you reached out with your questions. You'll actually receive three FastPass+ selections that can be used for any attraction at any of the four parks with the exception of Avatar Flight of Passage and the Na'vi River Journey, which are both located at Animal Kingdom in Pandora- The World of Avatar. This will give you some flexibility with where you use your FastPass+ selections especially if you are planning to park hop.
Jessica, once your online booking window opens up, you'll be able to reserve a departure time to the first theme park you plan to visit. This will help Disney Cruise Line plan for your motor coach transportation to the Walt Disney World Resort, so I recommend logging in to your cruise reservation to start planning your day once you know where you'll visit first. I also suggest reserving a place to dine by booking an Advanced Dining Reservation, which can be made up to 180 days prior to your arrival. You can browse
dining availability online or by calling (407) 939-1947.
There is so much to look forward to when you set sail for your enchanted journey, Jessica. Two highlights of my cruise were the sail away from New York City (think incredible views!) and when we sailed back down the Hudson River on the last morning! It was well worth the early wake up call because the city looked so peaceful and pristine.
