    Rebecca Asked

We are going on a Disney cruise in May with our 3 year old daughter. We have one full day at Disney World (7am - midnight) with a park hopper ticket. We have thought about MK and AK. Any suggestions on where to go to make the most memories with her?

Welcome aboard, Rebecca! You're going to have a wonderful cruise out of Galveston with your one day stop at Walt Disney World! That is such a great addition to the itinerary!

Since you have an entire day, and perhaps you won't have the chance to get back there soon, you certainly could visit both parks. If you do that, I'd suggest going to Animal Kingdom first thing in the morning. The animals tend to be more active at that time of day, and do keep in mind that that park closes earlier than the others. There aren't quite as many attractions for your daughter there, so you could easily make your way to the highlights of the park in the morning. Plan ahead and choose your must-do's so you can hit those first.

At lunchtime, you might consider making advanced dining reservations (and do it soon, they book up quickly!) for a character lunch at Tusker House. Don't forget your camera, as the Disney characters are dressed in their safari gear for photo opportunities here. The food is good and the atmosphere is a lot of fun!

Then, make your way to Magic Kingdom after lunch to enjoy all that there is to see! Head to Fantasyland first because you'll find the most attractions in that area for your daughter. Try to get in for Enchanted Tales with Belle. There tend to be long lines, but I've found that if you head there during a parade, you can quickly make your way through the line, so your daughter won't need to wait long! Be sure to utilize the FastPass system, picking up Fast Passes right away so you can come back to that attraction with little wait later. You might want to get passes to Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid, right when you walk into New Fantasyland. Then, you can plan to be back there when your passes are valid to ride, which will save you quite a bit of time.

Have a fabulous cruise and visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
