I am going on disney cruise in May i have 2 children 1 is 4yrs & 8 yrs old. i would like them to be in separate clubs during cruise is this possible? Please let me know . Thank you.

    Hi Kathleen, and welcome aboard!

You didn't mention which ship you're sailing on, but on any of the four ships, you are free to take your 4-year old and 8-year old to separate clubs when they go in for activities. Each ship has both the Oceaneer's Club and the Oceaneer's Lab.

On the Fantasy and the Dream, however, the Oceaneer's Club and Lab are connected via one long room in the back, so children in these clubs are free to rome both areas, so there is no way to be sure they are not together. On the Wonder and Magic, you'll find the Club and Lab to be completely separate areas.

Many times on the ships, when one club is offering secured programming, the other may be offering an Open House time, during which parents stay with their children in the club for activities and events.

You'll need to check the Personal Navigator once you're onboard to confirm the days and times when Open Houses or secured programming are going on. Perhaps you could drop one off for secured programming in the Club while you join the other one for some one-on-one parent/child time in the Open House of the Lab, or vise versa.

I can tell you, though, that when my two kids go to the clubs together, they rarely see each other, as their interests are so different, they tend to choose different activities from the moment they set foot in the clubs. My daughter is exploring her "fairy talents" with Tinkerbell, while my son is joining the counselors for a group game in Andy's Room. Multiple activities are always going on at the same time, and counselors are readily available to help direct your kids to different events.

I hope this information helps, Kathleen. Your children are sure to enjoy their time in the Oceaneer's Club and Lab during your cruise. If you have any more questions, please let me know!
