We will be going on our 1st Disney Cruise in March 2017 aboard the Wonder. What is the clearance under the Deluxe Stateroom beds? I need to know how big of a suitcase I can pack!

    Ahoy, Christi!

Congratulations on your very first Disney Cruise! You've chosen a "WONDER"ful ship for your maiden voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line since the Disney Wonder has recently undergone a re-imagination! I hope it will be the first of "minnie" sailings with Captain Mickey and his seafaring crew.

One thing you are going to LOVE about cruising with Disney are the spacious accommodations. Disney Cruise Line designed their staterooms with families in mind, so you'll enjoy the extra space and nautical touches while you are aboard. The split bathroom design offers two sinks and ample storage and will allow your crew to get ready for dinner and bedtime with ease. You'll find about a foot and a half of clearance for storage under the queen-sized bed, which will be plenty of space for a large suitcase. I've never had any problem storing all of our bags underneath the bed with room to spare. I bring a pop-up hamper for the closet, and each morning I slide out a suitcase to pack the previous day's dirty clothes. This is a huge time saver so I'm not overwhelmed with packing on the last day especially since it's so easy to get the suitcases in and out.

I'm thrilled your crew will be experiencing the magic of Disney at sea very soon, Christi! Please write back if you have any other first time questions. We are always happy to help.

    Have a magical day!
