    Ashley from FL Asked

We are going to Disney in a couple weeks for just a quick day trip. My son will be 3 feb 21st do I need to verify that when we go to the park or will he still be able to get in free? Only asking because he is bigger for his age and didn’t want any issues.

    Hi Ashley!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your visit to Walt Disney World Resort will be here before you know it. How exciting! I have found there's no better way to experience the magic of Disney than through the eyes of your child.

As a mom of four children myself, I can certainly understand your concern as my oldest two have always been tall for their age. It has been my experience that Disney works on an honor system. We have taken all four of our children at least twice to the theme parks before their 3rd birthday, and we were never asked to show proof of age. Rest assured, you will not be required to pay theme park admission for your 2-year-old. In addition, your son will not need FastPass+ selections either.  Since children under 3 do not require a theme park ticket, they do not need FastPass+ selections. However, if you have any FastPass+ selections, your little Mouseketeer will be able to enter the FastPass+ entrance with you as long as he meets the minimum height requirement for that attraction.

Be sure to bring a stroller for your son as the walking can get to be a lot for little ones. Stroller rentals are also available at all four theme parks.

Please let us know if you have any new questions that may arise in the days leading up to your trip, Ashley. Best wishes for a magical day!

    Happy Planning,
