We are going to Disney at a busy time of year during the week of February break. We can only go for four out of seven days with hopper tickets. What are some of your recommendations for avoiding crowds and what parks to visit on what days?

    Hi Angela,

Thanks for visiting me here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with that excellent question!

The week of Presidents Day can be busy at the Walt Disney World Resort because most of the school districts in the northeast have their winter break. However, crowds can be more manageable by following a few simple general guidelines. You've already taken care of one idea, by purchasing tickets with the Park Hopper Option. If you find park attendance levels at one Disney theme park to be particularly overwhelming, the Park Hoppers will allow you to jump to another less crowded park that very same day.

If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, I suggest touring the Disney Parks offering morning Extra Magic Hours, but then hopping to a different less congested park later that day. Another idea is to schedule your 3 FastPass+ selections ahead of time, for the first Disney theme park you plan to visit each day. Once you redeem that set of FastPass+ selections (or the last arrival window has already passed), make additional FastPass+ selections at any of the easy-to-find kiosks in the next park you visit that same day. Repeat this process, adding one FastPass+ selection at a time, up to park closing.

Keeping all the above information in mind, here's a sample touring plan. Arrival day, visit Epcot. Day 2, tour Disney's Hollywood Studios with the option to hop to Epcot. Day 3, you can either relax at your Disney resort hotel, or visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Day 4, if you didn't tour a theme park on day 2, visit Disney's Hollywood Studios with the option to hop to Epcot. Day 5, visit Magic Kingdom. Day 6, if you didn't already visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, this is a good day to do it. Day 7, visit Disney Springs before heading back home.

Enjoy making magical memories of a lifetime at Disney Parks!
