Going to Disney 15-22 Aug. Plan on spending 2 days ea in MK and AK and 1 ea at MGM and Epcot. Plan on CDs at Chef Mickeys, 1900 Park Fare, and Play & Dine. What's the best way to plan the dates? Will call 180 days out, but need to figure out schedule.

Print out a blank calendar. Go to Disney’s Calendar and write down the park hours for each day of your visit. Note fireworks, parades and other show times that you are interested in seeing.

We usually avoid the Magic Kingdom on a Saturday. If you are staying at a WDW resort, decide whether you will take advantage of Extra Magic Hours (EMH). If not, then avoid the park with EMH that day. If you are early risers, then schedule your park days when that specific park is offering morning Extra Magic Hours. Use a pencil and keep re-arranging your schedule until it meets most of your needs. For instance, I always try to schedule a later morning when taking part in an evening Extra Magic Hour on the previous night.

To make the most of your park time, try to schedule Chef Mickey’s or 1900 Park Fare dinners on your arrival and/or departure days. Otherwise use these dinners as a time to take a break from your days at the Magic Kingdom. Both can be accessed via boat or monorail from the Magic Kingdom.

Schedule your Play and Dine meal for your MGM day.

Once you start planning, you’ll see that your touring schedule falls in to place. Have a magical trip!
