How can I get from the Disney art of animation resort to the Disney cruise line? Please provide cost, schedule (checkout time in the hotel is 11 am)!, how does kids travels in this service ( car seat?) thanks!

Welcome aboard, Leonard! It sounds like you have not only a Disney Cruise Line vacation to look forward to soon, but a complete land and sea trip with a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort too! That's my favorite kind of vacation!

Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers between any of the resorts at Walt Disney World and Port Canaveral, as well as between Port Canaveral and the Orlando International airport. The cost for these transfers is $35 per person each way, and I promise it is worth every single penny to let Disney take care of the details. You'll want to book this well in advance of your trip.

The night before you set sail, you'll receive a note in your resort room letting you know what time your motorcoach will be arriving at the resort. It will also let you know what time your luggage will need to be ready for pick up that morning. The timing can vary, depending on how many guests at your particular Disney resort are heading out to sea with you that day, so you won't find out exact timing until the night before. To give you an example, though, here's what we had the last time we took a land and sea vacation with Disney, staying at Art of Animation. The night before our cruise, the letter in our resort room let us know that our checked luggage was to be picked up from our resort room at 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Our motorcoach was to pick us up at 11:30 a.m. That was perfect, because we were able to send off our luggage to be taken to the ship, and we could keep a day bag with us to continue to enjoy our resort and have a leisurely breakfast, do a bit of last minute gift shop browsing and purchasing, and then it was time to board our motorcoach.

Because it's a large motorcoach (think tour bus style), car seats are not used, and kids can simply sit on the seat or in your lap. It really doesn't get easier than letting Disney arrange for your travel, Leonard! Happy planning!
