Disney Airport Transfer or Rental Car? MCO to Disney Resorts (3 nights) to Port Canaveral 7 day Disney Cruise to MCO. Rental car will cost about $650 total with parking included. But can't find Disney Shuttle costs. Help!

    Hi John,

Thanks for sailing by! How exciting that not only do you have a Disney Cruise Line voyage in sight, but that you also are adding some additional magic at Walt Disney World Resort!  From a cost perspective, I recommend letting Disney do the driving.  You can take Disney's Magical Express (which is complimentary) from Orlando International Airport to your Walt Disney World Resort upon arrival.  Disney Cruise Line ground transfers are $35 each way per person either from your Walt Disney World Resort to Port Canaveral or from Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral.  (The drive from either location is approximately one hour.)  You will, therefore, pay $70 per person for each passenger.  If you chose to rent a car, you will have the additional expense of having to pay to park the vehicle.  For a seven night cruise, parking at the Disney parking terminal is currently $136 per parking space.    You don't mention how many members are traveling in your party, however, unless you have a very large party, it will be more cost effective (and convenient in my opinion) if you use Disney's wonderful, hassle free, and fun transportation!  Don't forget, that by traveling with Disney, your luggage will be taken care of as well, which will avoid you having to pack and unpack your vehicle both at the airport and at your Walt Disney World Resort before heading to Port Canaveral.

    Have a magical voyage!
