    Cessy from VA Asked

Is there a discount for veterans that are not retired or active military . Just honorably discharge?

    Hi Cessy,
Thanks for joining the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! We're so glad you stopped by to see us. I'd love to answer your question.

I'm guessing that you or someone in your family served in the military at some time based on your question. From our military family to yours, I'd like to offer a sincere word of thanks for your service and sacrifice. At the current time, the Walt Disney World Resort offers military discounts such as Military Promotional Tickets and discounted Walt Disney World Resort hotel rooms to those that are active duty, reservists, or retirees only with proper ID. Unfortunately, honorably discharged veterans do not qualify for military discounts at this time.

However, please don't let this discourage you! Disney has Special Offers for anyone traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort.  Bookmark the Special Offers page and refer back to it, as new offers are posted with some regularity. I understand that Shades of Green occasionally offers accommodations to veterans with an honorable discharge and a valid Form DD-214; you'll have to check their website directly for details (this is subject to change without notice).

I hope this advice helps you plan the Walt Disney World Resort vacation of your dreams! Please come back and see us with any additional questions.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
