What is the discount for military dependents without having the active duty member present? I am wondering if it is worth it to wait and buy the tickets at the gate or to just buy them online. We will be going to Disney for 2 days.

    Hello Danielle!

Thank you so much for your question.  As a military family, we've been enjoying the privilege of using the Armed Forces Salute promotions currently offered by Disney Parks.

In order to use the four-day Armed Forces Salute ticket offer, the Active Duty member must be present when the tickets are activated.  There is one exception to this, however.  If the AD spouse or non-remarried widow is present, he or she is able to activate the tickets without the AD member present.

You are not able to purchase the Armed Forces Salute tickets online.  They must be purchased at either your local MWR/ITT office, the Shades of Green Resort, or at Walt Disney World ticketing windows.  They are also available at Guest Relations at Downtown Disney.

You can learn more about the Armed Forces Salute tickets, including block out dates and prices buy clicking over to the Military Special Offers website.

Please come back and see us if you have any other vacation planning questions!

    Have a magical day!
