    Nancy from IL Asked

Can we get disability access service card at Disney Springs guest services? If no, do we need to use ticket to get to guest services inside the parks? Any rides/attractions excluded from DAS use? Thanks for your help.

    Hi Nancy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing this question to us!

Although we have used the Disability Access Service several times for my husband, we have never tried to register for it at Disney Springs so I called to speak to a cast member with Disability Access Services. She indicated that you need to register at Guest Relations in one of the theme parks. There are Guest Relations windows that you can access without fully entering the parks, but we have always registered on our first park day at the Guest Relations lobby inside the park. Each time we have registered, it took about 10 minutes.

Once my husband is registered, a cast member adds our girls and me to his Disability Access Service so that we can ride with him. To use the service, one of us approaches a cast member at the entrance to an attraction, explains that we have the Disability Access Service and requests a return time for the ride. Although either of us can request the return time for the ride, when we actually return to ride the attraction, my husband has to be the first person to scan in with his MagicBand.

When we first used the Disability Access Service a few years ago, we were unable to use it for one or two attractions but on our last visit, it worked for all of the attractions we hoped to experience. When I asked the cast member in Disability Access Services, she indicated that they did not have a list of attractions not accessible with the Disability Access Service.

Nancy, if you have other questions, feel free to speak with a cast member in Disability Access Services at 407-560-2547.

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
